Patrick Bernhardt is president of the San José Teachers Association, the largest teachers union in Santa Clara County.

Patrick has taught mathematics, computer science, history, and English in the San José Unified School District for 20 years, most recently at Pioneer High School.

Prior to entering education, he worked in marketing communications for an enterprise software company. Patrick holds an undergraduate degree from Stanford and a teaching credential from San José State.

He lives with his wife and daughter in San José.
